Martin Luther King Jr. Events around Indianapolis

Many schools will be closed, and there are many free events and special events taking place in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.    To summarize a few, Conner Prairie will be open to free for the public, the Indianapolis Zoo with a canned good donation, and the Childrens Museum will be open free from 10 am to 3 pm.  This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Martin Luther King, Jr. and also a great chance to visit some area museums for free.  Quick tip:  the museums are very busy on the free days and if you can get there right at opening, it’s a little less crowded.     There are some other events as well listed in this article:
